I have worked for STEP since April 2012 and I manage all of our on site catering teams.
I have worked in catering for over 12 years and enjoy working with the kitchen staff and being part of STEP.
Our aim is to encourage children to make healthy choices, but also giving them the opportunities to experience a wide variety of different cuisines.
My name is Jo Sparks and I have worked in Catering since 2006.
I started to work for STEP Catering in 2012; I worked within one of our kitchens at Gonville Academy.
In September 2017 I moved onto the role of STEP Head Cook overseeing Tudor Academy, Applegarth Academy and La Fontaine Academy, also working together with other STEP Head Cooks whilst supporting our six Academy’s in East Sussex
My role involves working with Academies to ensure the smooth running of the kitchens & lunchtimes. I am passionate and committed to ensure that STEP provide a healthy & tasty meal to all our pupils.
