Tudor Academy 2023/24 iBall Basketball Champions 

Congratulations to Tudor Academy Year 4, 5 & 6 Basketball team for winning the 1st annual iBall Croydon Basketball Finals, held at Coombe Wood School, 13.3.24. 

The event consisted of 5 regional champions competing in the IBall finals. Having won 2, drawn 1 and lost 1 in the qualifying rounds, Tudor  progressed to the semi-finals versus Park Hill, winning the eventual game. 

The final involved a fixture against Minster which was keenly fought. The match eventually went into overtime with both sides tied, leading to the scenario of whoever scored first wins. Joseph eventually scored the dramatic winning shot much to the adulation of his team. 

Considering this was Tudor Academy’s first season entering a Basketball league, it’s a remarkable achievement that would not have been possible without the talent, dedication and hunger of each player to improve week on week.  

A special mention to Year 6 Joey for his tireless displays throughout the event, deservedly winning the Most Valuable Player prize.
