At Tudor Academy, Physical Education (PE) plays a key role in helping children develop the skills and confidence to stay active and healthy throughout their lives. Our PE curriculum provides opportunities for pupils to take part in a wide range of activities, building their physical abilities and encouraging them to enjoy being active.

We focus on developing pupils’ competence in different physical activities, helping them to improve their skills and take part with confidence. Pupils engage in team games, individual challenges, and competitive sports, which teach them about effort, fairness, and working with others.

Regular physical activity is a core part of our approach, ensuring pupils stay active for sustained periods and understand the importance of fitness for their health. We also aim to give children the knowledge and experiences they need to make positive choices about leading a healthy lifestyle.

Through PE, pupils learn not only how to improve their physical skills but also how to face challenges, build resilience, and show respect for others. Our aim is to ensure all pupils leave primary school with the ability and confidence to stay active and healthy in their everyday lives.
